6 strings
Tonight we walked back from the beach after admiring the stars and came across an old Latino singing songs with this guitar and his rustic carribbean blues-like voice. Perched up on a window sill of a very simple wooden house, he made the night an experience. Standing there listening to his song about holding onto love and trying not to forget the lover he dreams of everynight, I couldn´t help but wish...
No puedo olvidarte...
Tonight we find ourselves in Boquete, a small, quaint town outside of David where the air is cool and the food is cheap. $2.05 for a big plate of fixin´s (I can´t get the south out of me!). Tomorrow off to the hot springs and hopefully some natural trails.
On the way here today, I ended up sitting next to a grandmother and her 5yr old grandchild with gorgeous long black hair and a lighter tan than most panamanians. The sweet little girl ended up on my lap, kissed me a few times on the cheek and told me she loved me. I swear sometimes God certainly does take the form of human beings...yes, even now. (how funny is this b-c just yesterday I read the quote above from life of pi)
